JERSEY CITY — The health department shelled out nearly $6,000 for some custom-made furniture made by the company run by the husband of the department's deputy director. JERSEY CITY -- What seemed to be a light dusting of snow Sunday night wreaked havoc on a couple state roads in Hudson County. At about 7:30 p.m., a sheet of black ice caused a chain reaction crash at the Tonnelle Circle involving 20 cars, according to a police report.
