Jersey City celebrates at annual Irish festival (PHOTOS)
JERSEY CITY – It may not be St. Patrick's Day, but Irish eyes were smiling at Exchange Place on Saturday. Hundreds of people came out to celebrate this year's Jersey City Irish festival along the Hudson River with Irish food and dancing. Festival goers showed their Irish spirit wearing green shirts or traditional Irish clothing. JERSEY CITY -- A 38-year-old man was shot in the thigh Saturday night, officials said. The victim, a Bronx resident, suffered a single gunshot wound near Bergen and Clendenny avenues at about 11:30 p.m., city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill said.
