JERSEY CITY -- A man was shot dead near the Salem Lafayette housing complex late Wednesday night, authorities said. The male victim was shot near Martin Luther King Drive and Union Street and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit is investigating, a spokesman with the department said.
