Shots were fired just yards from a Jersey City police station this afternoon, a city spokeswoman said. Jersey City police were investigating the incident on Martin Luther King Drive, just south of Communipaw Avenue and outside the West District precinct at 3 p.m. this afternoon. Jersey City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill said the gunfire was reported just before 2 p.m. There were no victims and the investigation is ongoing, Morrill added. JERSEY CITY -- A 19-year-old man was injured Saturday after he was struck by a driver who fled the scene, according to a crash report.
