    JERSEY CITY - Two pedestrians were fatally struck by vehicles on the city's West Side in separate incidents Thursday morning, officials said. The first crash happened at about 1 a.m. on Route 440. A 54-year-old Ege Avenue woman was crossing in an "unregulated area" of the road near Clarke Avenue when she was hit, city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill said.
